At SDI Media he oversaw EMEA regional standards for subtitle and dubbing deliverables to Netflix. At iflix he built-up 14 subtitle teams internationally with MT spanning 22 language pairs, in addition to voice recognition and screenplay analysis workflows and tools using a variety of features that he co-designed and oversaw the development of with Omniscien Technologies. At Astro Malaysia he heads-up MAM-based content engineering automation initiatives leveraging Machine Learning for metadata enrichment as well as the integration of their cloud-based subtitle production platform.

Dion Wiggins is a highly experienced ICT industry visionary, entrepreneur, analyst and consultant. He has an impressive knowledge in the fields of software development, architecture and management, as well as an in-depth understanding of Asian ICT markets. He is an accomplished speaker and has a high media profile for his perceptive analysis of ICT in Asia/Pacific.
Previously Dion was Vice President and Research Director for Gartner based in Hong Kong, where he was the most senior and highly-respected analyst based in all of Asia. Dion’s research reports on ICT in China helped change the way the world views this market.
Dion is also a well-known pioneer of the Asian Internet Industry, being the founder of one of Asia’s first ever ISPs (Asia Online in Hong Kong). In his role at Gartner and in various other consulting positions prior to that, Dion advised literally hundreds of enterprises on their ICT strategy.
Dion was a founder of The ActiveX Factory, where he was recipient of the Chairman’s Commendation Award presented by Microsoft’s Bill Gates for the best showcase of software developed in the Philippines. The US Government has recognized Dion as being in the top 5% of his field worldwide and he is a former holder of a US O1 Extraordinary Ability Visa.

She is the CEO of Prompsit (www.prompsit.com), a language technology provider with a strong focus on data curation, tailored MT services and multilingual applications. She is co-author of various research papers, an active developer the Apertium MT platform (apertium.org) and the vice president of ARTES Cultura y Ocio (www.artesculturayocio.org), an association for inclusive leisure for disabled and non-disabled people.

Born in Tooting (in the same hospital as London Mayor Sadiq Khan), Julian is still based in The Smoke and looks after new and established ZOO clients.
With 33+ years experience in the heart of the Soho post-production community, as well as extensive knowledge of, and involvement in, the US studio scene, Julian brings a creative and informed skillset to ZOO.
Starting his working life as a film editor in commercials, Julian went on to own and manage a thriving and respected Soho post-production facility for 14 years before joining ZOO in 2011. Since then he has helped establish the company and its services in the UK and European advertising and entertainment arena.
What keeps him at ZOO? It’s hard to say. Maybe it’s the heady mix of true Yorkshire grit, sunny Californian optimism, Glaswegian straight-talking and London cosmopolitanism that makes ZOO a company like no other.

Kenneth Heafield is a lecturer leading a machine translation group at the University of Edinburgh. He works on efficient neural networks, low-resource translation, mining petabytes for translations, and, occasionally, grammatical error correction.

Martine Massiera joined Omniscien Technologies in September 2017 as EMEA Sales Director.
Prior to this role, she held several senior executive positions with global technology companies, digital publishing organizations and with global Technology & Strategy Consulting organisations. More recently Martine held several Global Sales Executive positions in the Intellectual Property Industry, leading the transformation of the patent data business.

Dr. Miquel Esplà-Goms graduated in Computer Engineering in 2004 and got his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering in 2016. He also got an M.Sc. in Computer technologies in 2010.
After working as a research assistant in a variety of public and private projects at the Universitat d’Alacant since 2009, he is currently a post-doctoral researcher and part-time lecturer. He is the author of about 30 articles in international journals, conferences and workshops, most of them focused on quality estimation of translation technologies and creation of resources for machine translation.
Dr. Esplà-Gomis has contributed to several free/open-source projects related to machine translation such as Apertium, GamblrCAT, and Bitextor, the pipeline used in the Paracrawl project.

Philipp Koehn is Professor of Computer Science at Johns Hopkins University and Chief Scientist for Omniscien Technologies. He also holds the Chair for Machine Translation in the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh. Philipp is a leader in the field of statistical machine translation research with over 100 publications. He is the author of the seminal textbook in the field. Under his leadership the open source Moses system became the de-facto standard toolkit for machine translation in research and commercial deployment.
Philipp led international research projects such as Euromatrix and CASMACAT. Philipp’s research has been funded by the European Union, DARPA, Google, Facebook, Amazon, Bloomberg and several other funding agencies.
Philipp received his PhD in 2003 from the University of Southern California and was a postdoctoral research associate at MIT. He was a finalist in the European Patent Office’s European Inventor Award in 2013 and received the Award of Honor from the International Association of Machine Translation in 2015.
At Omniscien Technologies Philipp has refined machine translation technology for use in real-world deployments and helped to develop methods for data acquisition and refinement. Philipp continues to drive innovation and technological development at Omniscien Technologies.

As CEO and cofounder of Nimdzi, Renato brings decades of experience everywhere he goes. With extensive experience in international consulting, market research, sales and marketing, he provides the strategic direction that helps better serve clients worldwide.

Serge Gladkoff graduated from an elite Russian nuclear science college,after which he was engaged in the localization industry for more than 25 years, first as a deputy director for a software distribution company (Dialogue-MEPhI)and then as a localization manager for the Moscow office of Borland International. For the past 20 years he has been President and co-owner of Logrus International Corporation, and he is now CEO of Logrus Global LLC
Serge has been a speaker and presenter at many events, and served as an elected GALA Board member from 2009-2012 and again from 2014-2015. Serge is the founder of the largest professional online community in the localization industry, the Localization Professional group on LinkedIn.
